The data files and plots hereafter were derived from time series of source coordinates per session obtained by A. Fey, USNO (397 sources, left column) and C. Ma, GSFC (185 sources, right column).
A. Fey's time series of source coordinates are referred to one of three global analyses of data up to 2002.4 with a No Net Rotation (NNR) condition with respect to a subset of the ICRF. To avoid inconsistencies due to the NNR condition realization in the three analyses, that reach the level of 50 microarcseconds, the time series shown are series of differences with the mean coordinates of each source over the 1984-2002 time span.
From the analysis of these data over 1989.5-2002.4, M. Feissel-Vernier (2003, hereafter MFV2003) selected a subset of 199 stable sources. C. Ma's time series of coordinates are obtained from data up to 2003.0 with an NNR condition with respect to those stable sources. Note that, thanks to the better time stability of the NNR condition achieved with those stable sources, an additional set of 51 sources pass successfully the stability test in this new context.
The sources names are the IERS names. The IVS alternate name is given when different. The letters 'd', 'c', 'o' and 'n' refer to the ICRF source categories: Defining, Candidate, Other, New. The letters 's' and 'u' refer respectively to stable and unstable sources as detected by the MFV2003 selection scheme. The letter 'v' marks sources that should be considered with caution although they passed successfully the stability test. The sources with no stable/unstable status given are those that were not enough observed over 1989-2002 to be subjected to the stability selection scheme.
The plots are given both as gif and xml (resp. Plot and Votable).
